Many enemies stand between you and your goal. Fortunately, your samurai skills are impeccable! Leave a trail of bloody bodies all the way from Kyoto to Tokyo. Samurai art courtesy of Brad "fancy pants" Borne! 1850—before the advent of the bakumatsu and the decline of the Tokugawa shogunate, certain feudal lords were starting to gain power and declare autonomy from the imperial rule of the shogunate. Kyoto'Daimyo, Ujiyasu Takeda,, was one of those greedy feudal lords.

He ruled kyoto with an iron-clad fist, being feared by the villagers for his
atrocities and heinous crimes. Taxes were increased two-fold leaving the
people starving and helpless. All able-bodied men were recruited for force
labor to create armors and weapons for the srowinsarmu of the daimuo.

Noone had the courage to fight back, and all that did rebel were executed
without mercy.
