Freecell is a solitaire based card game which is played with a deck of 52 cards. The card game became well known when Microsoft built a free version of the game in Microsoft Windows. Many software programs were written trying to solve all of the 32000 games in Microsoft Windows Freecell, but as of today none of the programs was able to solve game #11982. After Windows XP was released, many have tried to solve all of the one million Freecell games, but so far 8 games seem to be unsolvable.
