Select your car honda acura ford volkswagen and tune it up change paintjob height exhaust decals body kit wheels and more. Select a car and modify it using the arrows on the right.

If you've been on the road in the last 8 years or so, you've surely seen those lowered, modified cars with their loud exhaust and custom wheels. Well, now is your chance to create your own sweet ride and even roll it out, all without the tools or voiding your car's warranty!

Instructions
Select a car to start with using the arrows at the bottom left. Next, change the parts on the car using arrow buttons in the toolbar on the right. There are also tools at the bottom for adding strobes, neon lights and to change the driver for your car.

Saving your car
To save your car for later or to use it in the "Car Show" background, click the "VTN Number" button when you are in the garage. A window will appear with your car's current VIN number. Copy down this "number", and next time you run Create-A-Ride, click VIN number again and enter your car's number and your car will be loaded.

Things to do with your ride
After you have created a car, you can change the backgrounds for your car to appear in.

Cruising: When in any scene other than the garage, another button appears at the bottom of the toolbar. It looks like a small hydraulic cylinder. This controls the car's "hydros", which you can use to raise or lower the car in the front, rear or both. These are more common on "low riders", but I thought I'd throw them in here for fun!

Drag Strip: The drag strip backdrop is interactive. Since Create-A-Ride doesn't yet allow you to change parts on the cars engine, the track doesn't give you your elapsed time. Rather, it's a simulated "practice tree", which you can use to practice your reaction times. Click Start and the countdown begins. The goal (for those of you who don't drag race) is to leave the starting line as close to when the green light appears as possible, without leaving before it (red-lighting). A perfect reaction time is 0.500 seconds, which is measured after the point that the last yellow light appears.
