ingredients
25g(l oz) butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small green or red pepper, cored,
deseeded and chopped
25g(l oz) plain flour
450ml(3/4pint) chicken or vegetable
stock
450ml(3/4pint) skimmed milk
2 medium potatoes, diced
125g(4oz)mushrooms, sliced
200g(7oz)can sweet corn, drained
salt and pepper
1 tablespoons chopped chives,
to garnish

Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over a moderate heat. Cook the onion and pepper for about 4-5minutes until soft but not brown. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Add the stock gradually, stirring continuously. Still stirring, add the milk and bring to the boil. Add the potatoes to the pan with the mushrooms and sweetcorn. Season to taste. Reduce the heat and simmer gently for 20-25 minutes until the potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with the chives before serving.

Method
l.Turn on the stove.
2.Open the butter jar.
3. Jldd butter to the pan
4. Close the bottle.
5. Add onion to the pan
6-Add green pepper to the pan
7. Use spoon to fry the content.
8. Add flour to the pan.
9.Open the vegetable stock bottle.
10.Add stock to the pan
11. Close the bottle.
12. Pour milk to the pan.
13. Add potatoes to the pan.
14. Add mushroom to the pan.
15. Add sweet corn to the pan.
16. Add salt to the pan.
17. Add pepper to the pan.
18. Turn off the stove.
19. Add the content to the bowl.
20.The Coin Chowder is ready to eat.
