Stop Train! Game Description

Stop a runaway train with the strongest tool in your arsenal: physics. A train has started rolling down hill without brakes and is headed straight towards a building filled with cute things. As a resourceful rail yard switchman, you decide to stop the train with a weighted rail car. Will you make the situation better or worse?

Some oafish train engineer let his train slide down a hill, and it's headed towards a randomly generated "cute
cliche" (a teddy bear orphanage, a basket of puppies warehouse, and a baby seal condo). You should probably stop the engine... or not. Up to you.

As the railyard switchman who paid attention in physics class, you have come up with the following plan: accelerate a railcar to a speed that can catch and couple with the engine and slow it down through weight and friction. Simple physics, right?

Decide the weight of the railway car by holding spacebar.
To launch the car, press spacebar.

In the car loading section you load the car with weight - any weight - to increase its mass. Hold Spacebar to
open the hopper and load mass. You only have twenty seconds before the train arrives so decide how much mass the car should have quickly.

In the train catch sequence, hit Spacebar when the power meter reaches the desired level. You need to accelerate the railcar to a speed that's just right to catch and couple with the engine. Too slow and the car never catches the engine. Too fast and the car bbounces off the engine. Just right and it couples allowing the engine to stop. Kind of like an anchor.
